The Cat-Dog Paradox - Answer
You become either a cat or a dog. While simultaneous states are contradictory, transitioning from the initial state isn't.
You must eventually become either a cat or a dog because the probability of remaining in the same state is zero.
The problem explicitly states that transitioning between a cat and a dog is impossible, but it also states that becoming a cat or a dog from the initial state has a non-zero equal probability.
Since "non-zero" means there is some chance of transformation, and there is no mention of remaining in the original state, we can logically infer that the probability of staying the same is actually zero. Even if the process is completely deterministic (not influenced by external randomness), the fact that a transition must happen implies that remaining in the same state is not an option.
